After a very exciting double market weekend I am off for a summer holiday by the beach...
Thanks to all my friends, family and to all the lovely people who purchased from my markets for your support in my new venture and I look forward to seeing what next year brings.
Happy Festive season and here's to an amazing 2012.
So one more day of prep for a double weekend of Market madness then Christmas Holidays and sunshine and swimming. Ms Rose has been busy being crafty, trying to suss out the best way to display a range of products on a small card table, she has been using cardboard tubes, cake stands with add on and hopes to create a spectacular high tea display.
Preparations for my up coming markets are well and truly underway. I have a lovely festive cake stand for the centre piece of my high tea market stalls. Today is a day of creating a few more pieces, so that I have a nice selection for my two markets.
Happy Friday! It's a week till a double Market weekend- Blackbird Market on Saturday the 17th and Bend and Snap Twilight Market on Sunday the 18th... and then it's Christmas Holidays for me... But in the mean time I better get back to work on some more Ribbon Necklace, hairpiece or Bracelet Little La La's before it's time for a festive weekend.
I have been spending hours messing about with photo's, making recycled swing tags and playing with ribbons and beads, what more could a designer ask of her day. Oh, I also like to hang out at coffee shops and make lists, that can take up hours, sunshine and coffee, a perfect day.
There are the moments you will remember forever, a song played, a dance you will never forget...
These little clips I made remind me of a series of moments over the last four years of working at Festivals. It's there over the top goldness, the ridiculous pink clips and there little pearly centre's.
They are Gold!!!
All the pieces I have been making at the moment have come from my vast stock of fabric collected over the last 19 years. I have been gifted lots of fabric, worked in a fabric store for years and I am not very good at throwing away scraps, so creating these accessories is the best way to use up all my Vintage (OLD) fabric. So every piece has a story.
Last week I went to the zoo with my brother, niece and nephew on one of Melbourne's cold summer days. We spent a few hours wandering around enjoying the sights.
