Poppies for Christmas.

Preparations for my up coming markets are well and truly underway. I have a lovely festive cake stand for the centre piece of my high tea market stalls. Today is a day of creating a few more pieces, so that I have a nice selection for my two markets.

Warm Butterfly Nights

I have been spending hours messing about with photo's, making recycled swing tags and playing with ribbons and beads, what more could a designer ask of her day. Oh, I also like to hang out at coffee shops and make lists, that can take up hours, sunshine and coffee, a perfect day.

Those Golden Moments...

There are the moments you will remember forever, a song played, a dance you will never forget...
These little clips I made remind me of a series of moments over the last four years of working at Festivals. It's there over the top goldness, the ridiculous pink clips and there little pearly centre's.
They are Gold!!!

Circus Twists and Carnival Stripes

All the pieces I have been making at the moment have come from my vast stock of fabric collected over the last 19 years. I have been gifted lots of fabric, worked in a fabric store for years and I am not very good at throwing away scraps, so creating these accessories is the best way to use up all my Vintage (OLD) fabric. So every piece has a story.

Meerkat at Melbourne Zoo.

I love Meerkats!
Last week I went to the zoo with my brother, niece and nephew on one of Melbourne's cold summer days. We spent a few hours wandering around enjoying the sights.

Market Displays

It's all about the Spots and Stripe!

I love a bit of visual merchandising.
I can spend hours working out the best way to place products,  different colour combinations, and finding ways to feature items.

Spring nights I adore you...

Spring nights I adore you...

The trouble with creating all these pretty little things is that I want to keep most of them but that is not the point and also there is not enough days in the week to wear them all so I hope they go to happy homes...

Ms Rose has decided that naming each of the one off accessories that she makes a for a good talking, selling point on Market days and most importantly makes her smile.
Here are some of the names of her products:
  • She loved Polka Dots
  • Just a hint of red Rosette
  • black and white delight
  • Where have all the spots gone?
  • Cowgirl delights
  • A bit of Girly delight
  • Mushroom Pearl Puff

Bend and Snap Market

Auntie Rosie's First Market stall.
Well despite the lack of market shoppers due to the construction work happening in the street on which the market was held, Ms Rose had a fabulous day surrounded by interesting market stalls and there owners. Visits from friendly faces made the day go faster and all in all it was a lovely, if not slow start to new exciting adventures.
